It’s all good

Today I have been killing it at home. Came home at 4am last night, up at 11 to lay the last part of the hallway-floor.

After 4 hours of non-stop work it was done, and I rushed around the house to finish off some duties. I felt kind of great afterwards, truth to be told!

When that’s mentioned, it didn’t even matter that my face was covered in milk like a four-year old after the lunch!

Right now I am just enjoying my last few hours of freedom before a new week of hard work starts. To bad I am starting to get my ski-stokeness back, a little to early if you consider the winter of 2011’s not starting untill november. DOOH!

Done for the weekend…

..but tomorrow is allready monday.

No hard feelings, last night was kind of allright.

Started out pretty slow as allways, and then some of the graduate students came to show (russ / crazy party period in Norway. )  I am pretty saticfied with the evening, allthough it is pretty retarded with a 20-hour long day.  But, this is a job as all other jobs, and it pays the bills.

It’s been nearly a year since me and Ida had an total makeover of our house. This week we figured out we needed a new floor in our hallway. It is a bit of a job since there are a lot of corners and other obstacles, but it looks nice!

Halfway through it, and I am doing the rest on Sunday.

I was supposed to be in Hafjell in the last day of skiing for the year today. That did not happend…. My  boss told me I had to work yesterday, and I forgot that I had planned to go there. So for today the plan is pretty busy, been working from 9-3 pm, and I slept a few hours after work to warm up for tonight.  My second job starts at 10.30 Pm and I am not going home before the club closes down at 3 am.  Long day, looking foreward to have tomorrow off.

Blogging again.

Wow! A whole week without writing a single word. Not a big deal you say? Agree. BUT:  This winter I have been putting my thoughts, pictures and videos to the blog every single day, several times a day (sometimes). That’s why a week without blogging might sound like a long time.

To be honest, I got a little tired of blogging about skiing, same routine every day for a while. I needed a blog brake. Since last week I have started working out in the gym a lot, and I have also started working at the hardware-store here in Lillehammer again. It is not exactly the most fun events to blog about, and I want you to tell me what to write about in the summer-time. What do you wanna know from my booring half of the year? Probably nothing right?

Anyhow, I have started riding my pitbike again, and it is so much fun. Really relaxing actually! Brap brrrrraaap!

Right now it is just work and gym that is on my mind, and to write about that every day, might be booring to some, but that is just how my reality is right now. I will never stop writing about the real life. This is not a made-up blog with a made-up lifestyle, covered in glamour. It is basically hard work and fun!

From Monday, I will be working pretty much every day untill the fall, even a lot of saturdays. I will be most of my spare-time lifting weights at the gym, and getting ready for the next season skiing.  If that is not enough, I have also got a second job as a DJ at a nightclub in Lillehammer, every other Saturday.  Mostly because it’s fun, and I have allways wanted to do it. That, like so many other things, is not exactly covered in glam… Just hard work!

My trampoline will be put somewhere good in the next few weeks. I put it up last week, but figured out that I was missing 30 springs, which sucked. In a few weeks the tramp will be placed, and I will be rocking thoose tricks. Come join us!

This post got a little booring with a lot of text, but I hope you see that to afford skiing for a season, I need money. To get money, I have to work, HARD.  In between these hard times, I will try to have some fun, and I will show you whenever I have a good time!

Seven sunny days

Back in Lillehammer since yesterday, and I must say after beeing home with shitty weather for allmost a week, it was nice to see some sun again. Had a good nights sleep, before I headed out to start the gym-season. Really hard to start off doing work-out again, but it is nice in the end when you are done.

Hopefully I would find a place to put my trampoline as well, need to get some tricks dialed in!

Swedish Open

After yesterdays Swedish Open, I figured it’s best to take a break from competitions for a while, maybe untill christmas. It was probably my worst day skiing in a long time, but I cannot say I am dissapointed either. I as crashing my sw 9 all day, and I didn’t even make it to the second jump more than once, during the two-hour qualifer session. I went home before it was even done. No need to push it when I was crashing whatever trick I tried.

I love skiing, believe me! But competitions is all about repeting your best tricks all day, and it doesn’t really show much when it’s all about big-air. Slopestyle on the other hand, is a little more fun!  This weekend I will be cruising Hafjell, I have a few tricks I want to do before this season ends!

Gotta go, 6 hours in a car is what’s up!

Drove from Oppdal to Hommelvik this morning. A bit of a party last night, which sucked big-time. It was fun to meet so many skiers at once though.

Just washed the car properly, and it felt great. Driving car every day to all sorts of destinations tears the car apart, but it is worth it when I get to see all sorts of cool stuff around.

On tuesday I will set course to Storlien, and Åre on Wednesday morning. The goal is to do my best in the Swedish Open in Åre. Hopefully I will get to see the JOI competition on Thursday night as well.
